The Training is practice driven with no EHM.

This one and a half day training is designed for all staff who provide
co-ordinated multi-agency early help to families - either as a first intervention or as a result of Step Down It will be highly practical and look at all aspects of the process from making an assessment to attending Team around the Family meetings. We have designed the course using feedback from the Early help Conference and the most questions that practitioners most frequently ask.

Outcomes are:

  • Feel confident about when to offer Early Help
  • Know about and have plans for making a holistic assessment of a child and their family's circumstances
  • Know how to use signs of Wellbeing to greatest effect
  • Have strategies for organising and running team around the family meetings
  • Know more about closing Early help , Step up and Step Down
  • Know how to use the Outcomes measures tool

Basic Training

This training is designed for all staff who provide co-ordinated multi-agency early help to families- either as a first intervention or as a result of Step Down.

This session will provide guidance on what Early Help looks like in North Somerset and will provide guidance on how to use Early Help Module. The session will be interactive and will work flexibility to ensure that the session meets everyone’s needs.

Outcomes

By the end of the session you will have:

  • An understanding of Early Help in North Somerset
  • You will be able to log into the EHM
  • Search and create a family
  • Start Early Help Episode
  • Record consent
  • Start an assessment
  • use the case note function

To be able to take part in this session practitioners are required to request Early Help Module access.

with name, surname, job title, DBS number, work email address, work telephone number, agency name, and manager name.

The email has to be sent as soon as candidate books a place.

Surgeries
Facilitator - Gosha Port

The sessions are open to all practitioners working with families and Early Help. Practice and IT support available. No need to book your place. The session is split into two parts. First part is a structured lecture around completing a meeting, plan and case transfer on EHM, and the second part is one-to one support around practice and module.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • complete recording a meeting on EHM
  • complete recording a plan on EHM
  • complete case transfer on EHM
  • Your individual queries will be resolved
