Inter Agency Training 2017
North Somerset Safeguarding Children Board partner agencies jointly fund a Multi Agency Safeguarding Trainer who is responsible for the Inter Agency Training programme.

Training Content and Delivery. The core programme of training follows the guidance set out in Working Together 2015. The content of courses is updated to take into account learning from Serious Case Reviews and is co-ordinated with other Safeguarding Children Board's in the South West through links with SWIAT (South West Inter Agency Trainers).

Inter Agency Child Protection - Introduction is a one day course and is available to the whole children's workforce. Courses run at least once a month.
Advanced Inter Agency Child Protection is a two day course that is fully supported by contributions from senior practitioners from the key local agencies.
There is also a half day update, which has been developed as a refresher for staff who completed the Advanced course two years ago.

- Hidden Sentence - Parents in Prison
- Child Protection for Managers
- Safer Recruitment
- Recognising and Preventing Abuse in your Organisation

- Families with Multiple and Complex Needs (Domestic Abuse/Substance Misuse/Mental Health)
- Signs of Safety
- Emotional Abuse
