We all have a responsibility to work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Schools have a responsibility to create and maintain a safe learning environment for children and young people, ensuring systems are in place so that children in your care stay safe. Education staff have a crucial role, identifying where there are child welfare concerns and taking action to address them, in partnership with other organisations where appropriate. Schools also contribute through the curriculum by developing children's understanding, awareness and resilience.
